The Long Jump is a competition run annually, it's organised by the well known balloonist Robin Bachelor; and is something we endeavour to enter each year. The Long Jump is always held in October, and any flight on any day in that month can qualify for the Long Jump. Balloon teams from all over the UK see just how far and how long they can fly in one go, taking off from locations of their choice. Although a serious competition it's generally an enjoyable event, and many like ourselves see it as an adventure. Prizes are awarded for those who travel the furthest, and also a prize for the smallest balloon entered.
The overall winner receives a cash prize, plus the 'Frog Trophy', whilst the winner of the smallest balloon to enter gets the 'Flea Trophy'
