After pouring the envelope into the bag after the Cub 'do' on Wednesday 24th Sept: it was vital that it be dried out ASAP. It needed to be done before another Western Region Flyout which was for the 28th Sept:.
We took the balloon to the Flower Pot at Cherington and the crew were Wayne and Kerrie, Jacky and Roy and Kathy. Conditions were ideal at midday - it was hot and sunny, no wind and no gusts. We ran th fan for quite some time and the sun dried part of the envelope not on the ground very quickly. Eventually we put the burner on very carefully and were gratified that not a hint of steam was spotted. We were all in high spirits and what could have been a tedious task turned into a fun event.
The pub was busy and we had quite a few spectators who came and chatted and had a good look around, a couple of the children getting into the basket. Another carnival atmosphere
