The balloon rose to about 30 - 40 ft but I could see the envelope flapping and knew it was cold and wouldn't go much further. I trotted below and called Lin and Jane to say they were OK and it would soon drop. Lin put some more heat in to try to avoid three trees, I shouted to her to stop burning and rip out. The balloon was drifting down and Jane tried to use the rip. They touched down about 200 yards from where I'd fallen out. The envelope was cold and there was about a 10 yard drag.
Thankfully no one had a scratch, and the balloon had landed in two foot high maize.
